More often than not, I opt for a simple makeup look. I do this for two reasons; I would much rather get a few extra minutes of sleep than have a full face of makeup, and my work is so casual that when I do have a full face, I feel really overdone. The two brands that have made the no-makeup look as popular as it is today are the two that I turn to for this look: Glossier and Jouer.
I start with the Glossier Skin Tint all over my face to even out my complexion and hide any redness around my nose. This has very little coverage (hence why it’s called a Tint), but for these days the minimal coverage it provides is enough. I then use the Glossier Stretch Concealer under my eyes to hide the dark circles that are always there. I also add some of the concealer to any spots I have as well as to help hid the redness even more.
I follow this with a swipe of the Jouer Mineral Powder Bronzer in Suntan, a matte honey bronze and the Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet, a shimmering golden peach, on the apples of my cheeks. I debated buying this bronzer for so long, but I’m really happy to have it in my collection- it’s a great matte color that never looks orange and it can be built up if you have a darker complexion. The blush is very pigmented and when used with a light hand, provides the perfect flush.
To finish off the look, I use the Glossier Boy Brow in black to tame my eyebrows. This is a great product because it makes my eyebrows look fuller while also setting them in place. Finally, I curl my eyelashes and add a swipe of Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara, which holds the curl without being clumpy.
