March Birchbox Review

I finally got my March birchbox in the mail today! I don’t know why, but it took forever to get to me this month, or at least it feels like it did.

(Don’t know what Birchbox is? It’s a monthly subscription service that sends 5-6 beauty samples tailored to your beauty profile. It includes lots of great brands, and sometimes you even get full size products. Click here to subscribe while also giving me points!)

I actually unsubscribed about 6 months ago because I was in product overload. Mainly because anytime I saw a good GWP, or amazing set, I had to get it…However, now that I’ve stopped buying beauty products (I’m so proud of myself), I decided to treat myself for being so good by starting my sub up again! I’m sure in a few months I’ll have too many samples again and have to pause my sub and start this cycle all over again. So I better enjoy this while I can 🙂

I’m really happy with my box this month!

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator. I have actually traded for about 4 of these, but this is the first time receiving it in my box. I love this product because the little beads are gentle, but they work wonders compared with the papaya enzymes. I use this about 3 times a week and my skin looks fresher and brighter when I use it.

amika Nourishing Mask. Another product that I already use own. I mentioned here that I like to use this mask when I’m treating myself to a special spa night. It smells great and leaves my hair feeling so soft- something I haven’t been able to find with another product. I know own the huge tub, one travel size tube and two deluxe sample tubes- I don’t see myself running out of this any time soon! In fact, I may try to incorporate it into my routine more regularly instead of just for special occasions.

Harvey Prince Signature Perfume. In general, I don’t like getting perfume in subscription boxes, but I really like the Harvey Prince Hello scent so I may like this one too. This is described as a sweet and feminine scent, so it might be too overly sweet for me. I had perfume on when I opened the box, so I’ll have to test out another time.

Jelly Pong Pong GLOW Getter Highlighter. I’ve recently really gotten into highlighting. This highlighter is a a bit more bronzy/pinky than the champagne colors I usually like to use, but maybe this will be a good one for the summer when I have a little more color. It’s a gel, which I haven’t seen in a highlighter so I’m really excited to test this one out.

Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask. I love face masks and I love self tanners. Combine the two and you have this product, which if it works well could quickly become a favorite of mine. I was so excited by this, that I used it immediately  After my nightly cleansing ritual (no wipes this time!), I put this moisturizing mask over my face and neck and went to sleep! In the morning, my skin definitely felt softer. I didn’t notice a glow, but I’ll continue to use it to see if it just takes time. I have naturally tan skin, so my skin just might be too dark for this.

What did you get in your box this month?

  • Is this the American Birchbox? I’m so glad to see them including Canadian brands like Vasanti!!

    • It is! I didn’t realize Vasanti was a Canadian brand. I’m obsessed with this scrub!

      • All of their products are phenomenal. I have their lipstick and cream blush and they are both 👌👌👌

        • Good to know- I’m going to add their products to my birchbox wish list!

          • We don’t have all those options, just pay and get sent a box hahah I’m getting my first Birchbox Canada this month!! I hope you get some more Vasanti! I love them!
