March 2017 Birchbox Review

I received the March Birchbox and I was pleasantly surprised with its contents. In recent months, I have become more interested in haircare and skincare and less in makeup, so this box was just right.

First up, I got the Kerastase Discipline Bain Fluidealiste Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. I have sampled a hair oil from Kerastase in the past, and if it weren’t for the hefty price tag, I definitely would have bought it. It did exactly what it said it would- reduced frizziness and left my hair silky smooth. This shampoo/conditioner set claims to nourish my hair to leave it frizz-free. If this set is anything like the hair oil, I expect it to do what it says and become a permanent part of my collection.

In the skincare category I received the Real Chemistry Fresh-Start Foaming Cleanser. This is supposed to be a great cleanser to start your skincare routine as it gently removes makeup, dirt and grime. I have become a fan of the double cleanse, so I will be testing this as my first cleanse since I ran out of the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm.

The first makeup item I received was Benefit They’re Real Mascara, which is already my holy grail mascara. It makes my lashes look amazing while holding a curl and never clumping. I am thrilled to have another one.

The item I was most excited to receive was the W3LL People Bio Brightener Stick. I have heard lots of good things about this brand, but this will my first time actually trying it. This is a highlighter stick that gives a soft and subtle glow while minimizing imperfections, which sounds like a great multi-tasker.

I am pleased with this box, but I am also glad I don’t subscribe to Birchbox anymore.
