Jouer Le Matchbox Review

My Le Matchbox came this weekend and I’m so excited to share it with you!

If you don’t know what Le Matchbox is, it is a subscription box started by one of my favorite cosmetics companies- Jouer. This sub is different than most because before signing up you take a little quiz to determine if your coloring is warm or cool, and you receive a box tailored to that. This means the colors will look great with your coloring! You can read more about it here.

Daily Repair Treatment oil ($48). This oil has an ingredient that acts similarly to retinol without the bad side effects, in order to help hydrate skin giving it a smoother, firmer appearance. My skin has been super dry lately so I’m excited to try this out!

Creme Eyeshadow Crayon, Renaissance ($24)I love eyeshadow pens because of the ease of application- no tools needed! Renaissance is a gorgeous shimmery-eggplant color that’s perfect for a night out. These also come with a built in sharpener on the end, so you can use it as a liner instead of an all over color. I love that there are options.

Travel eyelash curler ($?). I always curl my eyelashes but find they so difficult to pack. This is perfect because it folds up so it hardly takes up any space.

Mineral Powder Blush, Peach Bouquet ($26)Ever since I first learned about Jouer (About 2 years ago from Birchbox), I have wanted a blush, but just haven’t pulled the trigger. I am so happy receive one in this box! Peach bouquet is a beautiful shimmering peach. It looks beautiful sheered out, but can also be layered for more color. I think this is the perfect summer blush color!

Flat Kabuki Brush ($14). This brush has very soft bristles and is designed to work with the blush!

Hydrating Lipstick, Meredith ($24). The boxes come with either a lip gloss or lipstick, and I was crossing my fingers I would get a lipstick- and I did! Meredith is  a nude-pink color which was my top choice! This adds just enough color without being too in your face, which is exactly what I look for in lip colors. I haven’t tried their lipsticks yet, but they’re supposed to be very moisturizing and last for about 6 hours, so I’m excited to have this.

Perfume Oil. This perfume is a blend of gardenia, jasmine and honeysuckle so it’s very floral but not overpowering at all. It’s actually very subtle and I love it. This was an extra bonus to the box and it’s a tiny rollerball so its perfect to throw into your purse or gym bag.

This box cost $45, and I got $136 worth of product (not including the eyelash curler since I can’t find a price)! Besides the financial value, each and every product is something I will actually use which is rare to say about a subscription box. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the coming boxes!
