I have to admit, I initially was only interested in this line from Saturday Skin because they were so pretty (and matched my Bkr)! They kindly sent me their Freeze Frame Beauty Essence, Quench Intense Hydration Mask and Morning Kit for review, and I was just excited to take photos. I started using the trial set without having high hopes, but my skin was not doing well so I figured I didn’t have much to lose. After about a week of use, my acne subsided and my skin was insanely soft and bright. Altogether, the system has worked really well for my skin, combating acne while leaving my skin bright and soft. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on the individual products.
Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser One of my all-time favorite face washes is the Checks and Balances by Origins. This one from Saturday Skin reminds me of it- it lathers really well and has a soft mint scent. It does a great job at removing makeup and dirt, and leaves my skin refreshed and clean. While my husband and I were traveling, he used this cleanser and liked it so much, he immediately asked if he could take it for his toiletry kit.
Daily Dew Hydrating Essence Mist I have been using this as a toner after cleansing and before the essence, and it’s wonderful. It feels so nice when I spray it on, and leaves my skin very hydrated. It can also be used as a makeup setting spray throughout the day, but I haven’t used it that way yet.
Freeze Frame Beauty Essence This is a really nice essence. It’s thick, so it’s a little sticky when it’s first applied to the face, so you have to give it time to sink in before continuing with the moisturizer. It plumps skin and imparts a glow (that is in no way greasy) that is just gorgeous.
Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream This is exactly what it the title implies- a lightweight moisturizing cream. What I like about it is that it’s moisturizing without leaving my skin greasy. I have oily skin, so it’s imperative that I’m moisturized without adding extra oils.
Quench Intense Hydration Mask This is such a great mask that I really enjoy using. It’s really hydrating and has contributed to my skin being so soft. The serum sinks quickly into the skin and my face was not left feeling sticky in the slightest. There is also so much extra serum in the package that I was able to put it on my neck, chest and hands!
It’s safe to say that I am pretty obsessed with this line and will definitely be buying the full sizes when I finish these sample sizes. I am so pleased with this range, I also want to try the rest of their line, including the Perfecting Cushion Compact SPF 50+ and Spotlight Brightening Masks. Lucky for all of us, the line can be bought from Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and now Sephora as well! I would love to hear your thoughts below if you’ve used this brand before!
