One day while browsing through beauty blogs I discovered LMdB and it’s eyeshadow layering technique and I was immediately intrigued. I promptly signed up for their new subscription service and stayed with it for 2 years. During that time, I amassed quite a collection from them and I surprisingly can’t anything negative about any of the products I received (in terms of quality that is, I didn’t always get colors that worked for me). I wish I had gotten a chance to try more of the skincare, I used undereye gels which I really liked, because I’m sure the skincare is great if it’s anything like the makeup. Read on to learn more about my favorite products from LMdB.
One of my favorite things about LMdB is their kaleidoscopes, which contain everything you need. In the face kaleidoscope, it has 2 blushes, a bronzer, and a highlighter, so I can take that and have all I need for my face. The colors are finely milled and apply so nicely, plus they can easily be built up for more intense color without looking caky.
The products that got me interested in LMdB were the kaleidoscope eyeshadow palettes which are specifically made to layer, allowing for the perfect eye looks. I love when palettes make it easy to use to create multiple looks, and this one was no exception. Each shadow is extremely pigmented and buttery, making it very easy to blend. The kaleidoscopes usually contain some shimmery and some matte colors and are meant to be layered together (read the full tutorial on the LMdB site to find out exactly how they layer!).
I received two lipsticks, two lipliners and a lipgloss kaleidoscope (I told you, LMdB loves their kaleidoscopes!) and I thought they were all very nice. The lipsticks are very pigmented and don’t dry out lips. The lipliners were soft so I didn’t feel any tugging when I applied, and they lasted as long as my lipstick.
All in all, I’ve been very pleased with my experiences thus far with Le Metier de Beaute. I think their products are wonderful and I love that you can buy a kaleidoscope that takes the guesswork out of creating looks!
