Blush Favorites

Blush is only something I started wearing in the past few years. When I was in college, I stuck to bronzer (I’m naturally tan so it wasn’t too crazy. My favorites were the bobbi brown shimmer brick and bare minerals all over face color in warmth). I am still a bit obsessed with bronzer, but I’m starting to love blush as well. To prepare for this post, I took a look at all of my blushes and found that they are all similarly colored. I think my next beauty haul will include a blush in a new color. Anyway, here are my favorite, most used blushes to date.

NYX Cosmetics Blush, Boho Chic. I got this from a subscription box (glossyboc maybe?) and I really like it. The color is a pretty pink color and the cream texture allows it to blend effortlessly.

tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush, Splendor. I received this in a Sephora Favorites kit and at first I was really afraid of the bright pink color and large sparkles. However, the color provides a beautiful flush to the skin and the sparkles seem to disappear. And like all the tarte blushes, the packaging is color coordinated to the blush color, so you can easily pick out the correct color without having to open them all!

Stila Convertible Color, Peony. As you can see, I’ve gotten a lot of use of this one. I think this is the first time I’ve ever hit pan on a blush! I got this in the same kit as the tarte splendor and this was my go-to blush for the longest time. I didn’t think I would like the cream consistency, but I love how easy it is to blend and how hard it is to over-apply. I especially love this in the winter because it gives my skin a dewy finish and doesn’t emphasize dry patches on my cheeks.

tarte Amazonian clay 12-hou blush, Prim. Last year I bought a 4-pack of these mini tart blushes. I loved the one I had, and I couldn’t resist the beautiful packaging. This one is less pink and more of a nude color. It’s the perfect color for when I’m attempting a no-makeup look.

Chanel Joues Contraste, Orchid Rose. This is the first high end makeup I bought once I had a job out of college. I can still remember going to the stand and having them do my makeup and selecting a few pieces to buy. Similar to the other blushes, this provides just a hint of color without making me look like a clown. It has a bit of shimmer which gives a lovely sheen.

Those are currently my favorite blushes. What are your favorite blushes that I need to try?
