Birchbox February 2016

Birchbox day is here! Even after years of subscribing, I still get excited when I see that little pink box in my mailbox. Although, I  usually check ahead of time to see what’s in it because I can’t stand the suspense. This month I got an amazing assortment of makeup, skincare, haircare, and body care.

Arrow  Revive Cooling Cheek Tint. This item comes from Birchbox’s second beauty brand, Arrow.  This cheek tint is an oil free gel formula that sinks seamless into skin for a natural color.  I love items that are easy to use and hard to mess up which this one promises to be! It blends well and gives skin a beautiful, natural flush.

Model Co Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner.  I am not a big user of the lip liner, I’ve never really used it before however I like the idea of using it to keep your lipstick from feathering. Plus this one is supposed to make lips fuller which is never a bad thing.  This one is a neutral color that should work with any lip color so I’m excited to give this a try.

Obliphica Professional Hair Serum. This  is an antioxidant rich, lightweight serum that treats and repairs dry damaged hair. I cannot get enough of hair oils especially this winter when my hair is frizzy and acting up. I use a hair oil or serum every time I wash my hair so this one will definitely get used and has very good reviews so I’m curious to see if this will become my new favorite. So far, I will say it smells great and makes my hair really soft!

Not Soap, Radio Bosy Wash. This body wash is made with  coconut milk, mango, and vanilla which smells amazing. I’m trying to switch to paraben-free products and this one is paraben free some excited to give this a try the next time a shower. I also love the little saying it has: “When the rotor emotional stability seems full of speed bumps and potholes, it’s time to earn your own PhD in hydrotherapy. Forget singing in the shower, try a little talk. For each of your issues ask yourself: How do I feel about that?  What can I do to change it? At the end of the hour emerge from the water clearheaded and focused.” When I shower I do tend to think a lot about what I have going on in my life, so I like this little reminder of how to use the shower to think about your problems.

Hey Honey Take It Off Exfoliating Honey Peel Mask. I chose the sample because I love facemasks. This one is alpha hydroxy acid to peel away dead skin and reduce wrinkles. According to the reviews it does wonders at removing blackheads which is something I’m struggling with right now. This sample is small, only enough two uses. I used it immediate and lathered it on since I read reviews that if you don’t use enough it doesn’t peel off well. After I peeled it off, my skin felt to smooth and soft! It’s too bad I’ll only get one more use out of this as I really enjoyed it!

What did you get in your Birchbox this month?
