煙云渺渺水茫茫
——例談頂真詩(shī)
“頂真”也叫“頂針”、“聯(lián)珠”或“蟬聯(lián)”，指用前一句的結尾（字、詞語(yǔ)或句子）作為后一句的開(kāi)頭，使語(yǔ)句遞接緊湊而生動(dòng)暢達。這是修辭學(xué)上辭格之一。用在詩(shī)中，便稱(chēng)頂真詩(shī)。頂真詩(shī)大致有三種：
一是下句的首字與上句的末字相同。如元人無(wú)名氏的小令[越調]《小桃紅·情》：
斷腸人寄斷腸詞，詞寫(xiě)心間事。事到頭來(lái)不自由，自尋思。
思量往日真誠志。志誠是有，有情誰(shuí)似，似俺那人兒？
這支小令用自述的口氣，抒發(fā)了一位女子對愛(ài)人的思念與對愛(ài)情的堅貞不渝。頂真辭格的運用，使句子之間環(huán)環(huán)相扣，更好地表現了抒情主人公繾綣纏綿的柔情。
二是下句的一個(gè)詞或短語(yǔ)與上句的相同。這首漢樂(lè )府詩(shī)《平陵?yáng)|》是較早的頂真詩(shī)：
平陵?yáng)|，松柏桐，不知何人劫義公。劫義公，高堂下，
交錢(qián)百萬(wàn)兩走馬。兩走馬，亦誠難，顧見(jiàn)追吏心中惻。
心中惻，血出漉，歸告我家賣(mài)東犢。
這首相和歌，以唱和的通俗形式，具體揭露了官府明目張膽公然勒索百姓的情景，頂真句式的運用，加強了不滿(mǎn)與憤懣的感情。
又如李白的《送劉十六歸山白云歌》：
楚山秦山皆白云，白云處處長(cháng)隨君。長(cháng)隨君，君入楚山里，
云亦隨君渡湘水。湘水上，女羅衣，白云堪臥君早歸。
全詩(shī)寄情于景，以“白云”“湘水”等景物，抒發(fā)對友人的依依不舍和無(wú)限關(guān)懷的深情。
三是上一小節（或上一首）的末句又作為下一小節（或下一首）的首句。如王安石的《憶金陵（三首）》：
覆舟山下龍光寺，玄武湖畔五龍堂。
