October Popsugar Must Have Box

I got home from my trip to Boston to find the October POPSUGAR Must Have Box waiting for me, which POPSUGAR was so kind to send to me!  For those of you that don’t know, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is a monthly subscription box containing full-sized fashion, home and beauty products. While I love receiving beauty products, I can’t possibly use up all of the products I get, so it’s nice that this box has a variety of products and even edible treats! The boxes cost $39.95 and retail for over $100. Click here  if you’re interested in learning more, and use code SHOP5 to get $5 off your first box!

The themes that inspired this months box were reinvention-warm-cozy-snuggly-inspiration-happy, and I am definitely feeling that with the contents of this box. This box just screams for a rainy fall day and it’s absolutely perfect.

Lalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Oil and Bubble Bath

I am a sucker for pretty packing and this shower oil/bubble bath is gorgeous! I also love multi-use products like this that I can use one way in the bath and another in the shower. Plus, shower oils are very moisturizing which will be great in the dryer winter months. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down a bit so I can take a warm relaxing bath. This is an oil, so a little bit goes a long way (it’s similar in texture to the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil).

Henri Bendel Packable Umbrella

I can’t say I’m excited about receiving an umbrella, although this will be used once it starts raining here. I can never seem to keep my umbrella through a season, so it’s great to have a back up. However, this retails for $58 which is way too steep for an item that only gets used a few times a year…

Makeup Eraser The Makeup Erase Mini

This is a microfiber cloth that when wet, can remove all makeup without soap! Once your makeup is removed, just toss in the washing machine and it’s ready to use again! This is so much more environmentally friendly than the Yes To face wipes I use, and easier than the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish set, so I will make sure to throw this into my rotation.

Morning Culture Rise & Shine Diner Mug

This is a really cute, simple mug that will fit with the decor of most people’s homes. It is microwave & dishwasher safe so it can be used for everything. Now that I’m seeing it in the photos, I’m realizing the “i” in shine rubbed off!

My Cup of Cocoa Dark Drinking Chocolate

Lately, I have been having hot chocolate in the mornings instead of coffee, so this will be used in no time at all. After looking through the My Cup of Cake website, I see they have a bunch of super cute mug cakes which would make great gifts. I will probably be going back to them as the holidays approach.

Power Your Happy by Lisa Sugar

The Amazon review of this book is as follows:

Lisa Sugar has an amazing job. She spends her days at POPSUGAR creating content about pop culture, must-have handbags and makeup, healthy recipes, and Instagram-worthy sweets. She manages an enormously successful, growing company with employees who love what they do. And her life is just as great at home. She and her husband have three daughters and she’s the number one soccer mom who loves reading bedtime stories every night.
How did she do it? By figuring out what her dream job was, taking risks, and believing in herself. And now she wants to motivate others to do the same. She wants to show them how to live colorful, interesting lives where every second counts.
She’ll do so by sharing her personal and business story. Lisa knows that creating your dream job requires hard work, patience, and experience. She’ll give advice, in big and small ways, about exactly how to do that, from starting a company to ditching a relationship that isn’t working to becoming a fabulous boss. And with the great, accessible writing style that has made PopSugar such a hit, she’ll make it fun!

I already have a signed copy of this book from Lisa’s book tour last month but I have to admit that I haven’t read it yet. However, I like that she’s talking from personal experiences and isn’t trying to be a self-help book, so I am looking forward to reading it. Since I already have a copy of this book, I will be hosting a giveaway for this copy. Stay tuned for details on that!
