New in Skincare

I finally moved back to California from Massachusetts,  and while most of my skincare is packed away in a moving pod, I decided this would be the perfect time to use up some products I’ve received lately from Birchbox, Popsugar Must Have and Sephora!

I received the Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm in the April Popsugar Must Have Box (read the full review of box here), and I was so excited to see it! This brand’s tagline “farmer cultivated, scientist activated” sold me on the vision, so I’ve been hoping to try this brand out! This product is a light-weight balm that becomes an oil, so a little bit really goes a long way. Without having testing this extensively, I can’t speak to its ability to diminish wrinkles and fine lines, but reviews on Sephora say it does, so I’m hoping to see those results too.
The Fresh Soy Face cleanser is  a product I’ve been fortunate to test before, so I was happy to get a back-up. This face cleanser is really gentle, so all skin types can use it, and has a light cucumber scent which I adore. I use it as my every day cleanser and it does a great job of getting everything off. This is one cleanser I always have in my travel bag because I love what it does for my skin.

The Fresh Rose Face Mask came with the cleanser in the Sephora birthday gift this year.  I’ll admit, I’m not a huge fan of the scent, but the masks leaves my face feeling smooth so I’ll look past the scent. It’s a really expensive mask though, so not sure I’ll every purchase the full size, but wouldn’t mind getting it in skincare kits!
The final product I’ve been testing out is the Dr. Dennis Gross alpha beta daily peel. I first sampled this a few months ago, and really liked it but couldn’t bring myself to buy full size (60 treatments for $148), so when I saw 3 treatments as a 100-point perk at Sephora, I immediately went and picked them up. I’ve only used one treatment, but I was instantly reminded of why I loved it so much. Yes, this stings initially but this is a peel, so you kind of expect that. After using though, wow, my skin has never looked so smooth and bright! I can’t wait to see them multiple days in a row (they recommend using every day) to see how long term use affects my skincare.
