New in Beauty: April 2017

Wow, I can’t believe we are already in the fourth month of 2017, time sure is flying. As in previous months, I am making an effort to really shop my stash instead of buying anything new. It works for the most part, but I still have slip-ups where I go on buying sprees..Oops! This month I am focused on using some products that are perfect for warm weather and beach trips!

I’ve been using the Racinne Ultimate Youth Power Mask for a few weeks now and find that it makes my skin more plump and radiant. I often put a layer of this mask on before bed and wake to plump, moisturized skin. If I don’t want to wait until the next day, I will apply it for about 20minutes and then use a tissue to remove the excess.

I am not one of those girls who was blessed with perfect hair. Up until I was in college, I would flat-iron it anytime I wore it down in order to tame the frizz. Now, my hair is still super frizzy but I’m lazy and just keep it in a ponytail or bun so it’s not as obvious. One thing I really envy is beach hair that is effortlessly wavy while also remaining manageable. I am using the Captain Blaneknship Mermaid Sea┬áSalt Hairspray in hopes of turning my hair into mermaid mane čÖé

I’ve heard that the first place to show your age is your hands, so I try to be good about keeping them moisturized. However, I am not good about using SPF on them beside the excess I rub on after I’ve finished applying sunscreen to my body. I got the Supergoop Forever Young Hand Cream, SPF 40 in a Sephora Favorites kit so I now have no excuse not to use SPF on my hands.

This is actually my second go at the L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil. The first time I used it, I hated the scent and could barely bring myself to use it. This time, I am actually quite enjoying it. It still has an almost too-sweet scent, but I like it and it does fade pretty quickly. I love how quickly this oil lathers and how clean I feel after use.
