New in Beauty: Winter 2018

As a beauty addict, I have a pretty large stash of makeup and skincare products, but I tend to fall into a routine and use the same products over and over again. Therefore, I make it a point to go through my stash and pick out a few new or forgotten products to use. This month, in addition to makeup and skincare, I’ve thrown in a hair product as well.

Skin Laundry Gentle Foaming Face Wash I have almost run out of my Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser so finding this in my stash was perfect. It’s a gentle cleanser with ingredients like chamomile, yet effective at removing makeup and impurities. The brand says it’s perfect for the second step in a 2-step cleansing routine, so I plan on using this after a cleansing oil.

NUXE Nuxellence Jeunesse Youth Serum This is a miracle serum that smooths wrinkles, even complexions and improves circulation to give dewy, youthful skin.  I like to keep my skincare super simple during the day, so I will use this under my moisturizer at night a few times a week. I had a deluxe sample a few months back, and I found that I really did wake up with a glow.  I love this product but don’t know if I could ever shell out  $75 for the full size.

Dr. Brandt. Pores No More Luminizing Primer I am a big fan of using primers and skipping foundations. No, this doesn’t mean I have perfect skin; it just means I am lazy. Luminizing products tend to do a great job of evening the complexion and giving you a lit-from-within look. The luminizing properties combined with the famous Dr. Brandt pore-refining properties makes me really excited to try this sample out.

IGK Coconut Oil Gel My hair is the longest now than it’s been in a long time. I’m embarrassed to admit, but I think it’s been almost a year since my last haircut! This is a air dry styler that gives hair texture and softness, two things my hair could definitley benefit from these days.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer Is  a dupe for the Chanel Soleil de Tan, which I had been lusting over forever. I love this product so much, but it has fallen by the wayside recently. Since it’s a cream, it’s really easy to blend and therefore nearly impossible to over-do it. I know it can be worn all over skin, but I use it exactly like a bronzer. I find it gives me the most beautiful glow and never looks orange. I’m excited to use this again and warm up my complexion this winter.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, Cruella When I first received this color, I wasn’t sure that it was for me. It’s described as a scarlet ret so I was sure it would be too bright, too red, for me. However, when I found it in my stash, I immediately put it on and I was really happy with how it looked.  Not only that, but the color is extremely pigmented and  has amazing staying power.

  • I’ve had my eye on that Bourjois Bronzing Primer for ages! It’s always sold out though.

It was hard to get ahold of, but definitely worth it! I hope you’re able to get one for yourself!
