July 2015 Empties

Looking back at my empties from July, it seems I was on a bit of a cleaning kick. Face wash, beauty blender cleasner…apparently I was a cleaning machine! I didn’t use up quite as much as I would have liked, but I made some progress. I think I’m at a point where I have a lot of stuff partially used up, but I just have to choose a few products at a time to focus on and finish up. I will be traveling all this month (location is still TBD, leaving the middle of next week- I’ve never traveled so last minute but it should be exciting!), so I’ll definitely get through a lot of travel/sample sizes! On to the empties:

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I got this over the holidays in a limited edition set (see here). I’ve loved the fresh products I’ve used (lotus preserve cream, tinted lip balm) so I was eager to try more from the line. I actually loved this cleanser. It was gentle enough for every day use but it also did a great job leaving my face feeling clean. I also loved the soft rose scent.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I’ve raved about this already (here and here) so I won’t say much. Just that I keep trading for samples of this because I love it so much. I also love the cloth they comes with it as I feel it leaves my skin extra clean and smooth.

Beauty Blender Cleanser. I try to wash my brushes regularly but it doesn’t always work out. However, when I do wash them- brushes and beauty blender alike- I use this cleanser. It gets all the makeup out, although sometimes I have to clean the beauty blender s few times to get all the foundation out. Sometimes the scent is too strong for me, but luckily it doesn’t linger on the brushes.

Urban Decay Vitamin Infused Complexion Spray. I think this was supposed to be a primer spray, but I’m not sure it worked as that. I just liked misting it on my face as it felt really nice on those extra humid days.

Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm. This is a one-step balm that evens out the complexion while providing protection from the sun. The color matched my skin tone well and did do a decent job at evening out my complexion. Sometimes I felt like it wasn’t enough coverage, so on those days I added some extra tinted moisturizer. I love that this has high SPF (45), so my skin was very protected from the sun while using this. I have so many foundations/tinted moisturizes/beauty balms so I won’t be repurchasing this, however, if you’re in the market for a balm that evens skin while protecting, this is a good choice!

Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss. I actually thought this lipgloss was too sparkly and sticky for my taste, so this will be the first time I am tossing a product before it is finished. I have enough stuff to use up that I love, so I don’t have time to waste on products I don’t love.

This was a small month for me, but I’m sure my world travels this month will help me make up for that! On that note, since I will be traveling and unsure of the internet situation, my posts will be sporadic.
