Last month I received a specially-curated Popsugar Box as a gift for being a great partner of the Popsugar Must Have Box subscription. The box was full of great goodies- a plaid scarf, a ring dish, a necklace, watch and earrings, and my favorite- the Ciaté x Oliva Palermo Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer Duo.
I remember seeing the Ciaté x Olivia Palermo collaboration when it first came out and thinking it was beautiful, but I never bought any of the items myself. Of course, I’m thrilled to have products that will help me appear to have Olivia’s perfectly chiseled cheekbones! I know some people don’t like have bronzer/blush duos since you can end up with both products on your brush even if you only wanted one, but I actually love it! I like having the option to wear each one individually, or blended together to give the perfect lightly-bronzed flush. As an added bonus, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It is a textured black compact with gold accents. It also feels really sturdy so I won’t be afraid to bring it along on my travels.
The powders are infused with oil-controlling bamboo extract, which brightens skin while also soaking up excess oil. Both the bronzer and blush are semi-matte with a slight shimmer, which makes them very natural looking. They are finely milled, making them incredibly smooth, almost buttery. The bronzer might be a little on the light side, especially once I get a bit more color from the sun. However, it is really buildable, so I am able to just add more to give me that sun-kissed glow. The blush is a highly pigmented beautiful universal pink that will work on most skin tones.
I am really pleased with this Cheekbone Cheat Duo I received in my surprise Popsugar box. It’s really hard to find a blush and bronzer that give a skin kissed glow without looking dirty or muddy. This is a beautiful compact with great products that I highly recommend if you ever come across it. I am now tempted to see if I can seek out any other products from this collection. Have you tried anything from this collection?
